Role Overview

Picker | Majid Al Futtaim | Ecommerce, UAE

The Picker is responsible for consolidating orders from the put away area, picking items from shelves in the selling area, checking expiry dates, and scanning all ordered items. The role requires picking according to company standards in a productive manner, with accountability for the completeness and correctness of all orders picked.

Role Purpose

To accurately and efficiently pick, quality-check, and prepare ecommerce orders for dispatch while maintaining inventory organization, product standards, and operational compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Order Picking & Quality Control

• Pick orders by scanning items individually.
• Perform quality control checks on all items.
• Ensure all picked goods and items conform to the expiry date policy.
• Provide feedback to pickers if wrong items are picked or product quality does not meet standard.
• Verify and confirm out-of-stock items with the section in charge.

Organization & Maintenance

• Ensure the put away area is organized and all unused trollies and crates are moved to the storage area.
• Maintain goods in proper areas and keep them in good shape.
• Ensure all put away locations and crates have scannable barcodes.

Reporting & Escalation

• Report any anomaly to the line manager, including wrong product image, wrong location, and picking system issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience, preferably in ecommerce operations.
• Retail online business experience is a plus.
