Role Overview

Physician - Pediatric Dermatology at Sidra Medicine.

Role Purpose

Deliver high-quality, evidence-based pediatric dermatology care through effective diagnosis, management, and treatment of all patients under your care, while contributing to clinical excellence, education, and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Patient Management

• Assess and reassess inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis in line with established best practice.
• Conduct ward rounds and reassess inpatients and outpatients on a regular basis in line with established best practice.
• Provide clinical excellence through effective and efficient diagnosis, management, and treatment of all patients under your care.
• Deliver safe, effective, and holistic clinical services within accepted standards of care.
• Review results of all investigations and modify treatment as required.
• Make recommendations and order appropriate therapeutics and diagnostics as per the patient's diagnosed condition.

Documentation & Compliance

• Accurately document all relevant clinical information in a clear and timely fashion in accordance with established procedures.
• Comply with all hospital policies regarding admissions, consultations, daily patient care, surgical procedures, discharge protocols, outpatient and follow-up practices.
• Support, implement, and follow all hospital, departmental, and divisional initiatives, policies, and procedures.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Actively participate in interdisciplinary meetings to help plan effective, safe, and holistic care for individual patients.
• Provide guidance to less experienced colleagues.
• Assist in supervising activities of junior medical staff and jointly assume responsibility for patient care.
• Liaise with colleagues, Allied Health staff, nursing, administrative, and support services staff for additional input as required.

Education & Professional Development

• Demonstrate an active interest in educating and fostering future academic leaders nationally and internationally through active participation in education initiatives.
• Demonstrate commitment to Continued Medical Education (CME).
• Keep abreast of current, relevant literature and the latest trends and technologies in the industry.

Research & Innovation

• Demonstrate an active interest and involvement in research by initiating innovative clinical or research outcomes or collaborating on research projects to support the Sidra vision.

Organizational Contribution

• Practice appropriate utilization of the organization's resources.
• Support and participate in the organization's performance management, including peer reviews and the productivity and utilization review processes.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• MD, MBBS, or equivalent.
• Completion of residency program in the specialty area.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology (preferred).
• 1+ years post board certification experience.
