Role Overview
Pharmacist position at Aster DM Healthcare, Aster Hospital – Ibri location.
Role Purpose
Ensure safe, effective, and efficient medication management and pharmaceutical care delivery to patients across the hospital while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Medication Management
- Dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions and established protocols.
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
- Maintain organized and secure pharmaceutical inventory.
Patient Care & Counseling
- Provide pharmaceutical advice and medication counseling to patients.
- Monitor patient medication therapy and outcomes.
- Address patient inquiries regarding medications and side effects.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical regulations and hospital policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all pharmaceutical transactions.
- Report adverse drug events and medication errors through appropriate channels.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on medication-related matters.
- Communicate medication information and recommendations to clinical teams.
Quality Assurance
- Participate in medication error prevention initiatives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of pharmacy operations and patient safety.
