Role Overview
BlackStone eIT is seeking experienced Petroleum Products Storage Inspectors to ensure the safe and compliant storage of petroleum products at storage facilities.
Role Purpose
To conduct inspections of petroleum product storage terminals and infrastructure, verify adherence to safety regulations and industry standards, identify hazards and operational inefficiencies, and collaborate with facility managers and regulatory bodies to maintain high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspections
- Conduct regular inspections of petroleum product storage terminals, tanks, and related infrastructure.
- Inspect aboveground and underground tanks (ASTs/USTs), pipelines, manifolds, and pump systems.
- Inspect fuel terminals, depot loading/unloading areas, and mobile tanker interfaces.
- Inspect safety equipment including fire suppression, overfill protection, and leak detection systems.
Compliance & Hazard Management
- Verify compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Identify and report safety hazards, operational inefficiencies, and potential environmental risks.
- Stay updated on changes in petroleum storage regulations and best practices.
Reporting & Corrective Action
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with facility management to ensure prompt resolution of inspection findings.
Emergency & Incident Response
- Assist in emergency response planning and incident investigations related to storage facilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience inspecting storage facilities for petroleum products.
- Diploma in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
