Role Overview

Pediatric Speech Therapist at Taiba Hospital, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Department.

Role Purpose

Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based speech, language, feeding, and swallowing therapy to infants, children, and adolescents. Support safe management of pediatric dysphagia cases, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and empower families through caregiver education and home programs to sustain therapy progress.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Assessment

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, feeding, and swallowing assessments for infants, children, and adolescents.

Therapy & Intervention

• Deliver individualized therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, feeding, and swallowing.
• Implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies where needed.

Specialized Pediatric Care

• Support children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental language disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, hearing impairment, and cleft palate.

Family Education & Carryover

• Train parents and caregivers on home programs to reinforce therapy progress.
• Provide home programs and caregiver education to support therapy carryover.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

• Partner with medical and allied health specialists to coordinate holistic, multidisciplinary patient care.

Documentation & Quality

• Maintain clinical documentation standards.
• Support audits and safety initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program plus relevant Bachelor's degree.
• 3 or more years of post-Master's clinical experience in pediatric speech-language pathology.
• Advanced grounding in pediatric assessments and complex developmental and feeding disorders.
