Role Overview
PDR Repair Technician at Lucid Motors. The Electrical Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation of electrical components across the organization.

Role Purpose
To diagnose, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment while ensuring safe and efficient operation. The technician must follow electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures while delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection and Troubleshooting
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, panels, and equipment.
- Test electrical systems using meters, testers, and diagnostic tools.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
Installation and Maintenance
- Install electrical components such as switches, VCU, BCM, and control systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
- Trim DE trim cars in readiness to fit or remove electrical components.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.
- Document repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.
Safety and Operations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe working environment.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and perform on-call duties when required.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical diploma or certification in Electrical Technology or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or similar repair or production environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience in electrical repair.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools and repair equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Low voltage and high voltage knowledge is preferable.
- Experience in industrial or commercial electrical systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of PLCs, control panels, or automation systems is preferred.
Additional Information
Physical and Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20–25 kg.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or in varying temperatures.
- Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
- Willingness to work overtime or on-call shifts when needed.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly or non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried or exempt employees accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.
