Role Overview
Party Chief - Survey at Oceaneering, based offshore.
Role Purpose
Lead survey operations and personnel in marine construction and positioning environments, ensuring safe execution of daily tasks, compliance with safety protocols, and effective communication with clients and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Own offshore operations including personnel management, daily progress tracking and asset utilization.
- Manage and carry out specific job tasks as requested by the client or project manager.
- Train and adhere to OII, DOTD or client company-specific requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Assist new and fellow employees in performing their work in accordance with safe work procedures.
- Conduct and document daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety pre-tower meetings.
- Comply with company safety rules and training, conduct operations safely and report any unsafe condition or practices immediately to the supervisor.
- Assume responsibility for the care and safety of company equipment.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, crew members and project managers.
- Train fellow field personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
- Two (2) year technical degree or higher in a STEM field of study.
- Three (3) or more years experience as a Sr Surveyor in the Marine Construction/Survey & Positioning Survey field.
- Proficiency with a variety of field concepts, practices, procedures and equipment operations such as GPS, USBL, LBL and Navigation Softwares.
- Valid driver's license and suitable driving record meeting company driver requirements.
- Must have or be able to obtain TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, major survey equipment manufacturer's software and equipment.
