Role Overview
Parts Picker at Ali & Sons Holding LLC. This is a warehouse-based role responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing automotive parts to retail and workshop counters.
Role Purpose
Ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, picking, packing, and distribution of automotive parts to support retail and workshop operations while maintaining inventory accuracy and warehouse organization standards.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Storage
- Receive, store, organize, and distribute automotive parts to Retail and Workshop counters.
- Open bales, crates, cartons, and other containers using appropriate tools and procedures.
- Sort and place parts and materials on racks, shelves, and bins according to product code, type, size, or established storage sequence.
- Transport parts and materials from receiving areas to designated storage or distribution locations.
Order Fulfillment & Packing
- Read and interpret parts orders, shipping orders, requisitions, and related documents to identify items required for picking and distribution.
- Pick, assemble, and pack customer and workshop orders accurately from available stock.
- Place packed orders securely on pallets, in boxes, or other designated packaging.
- Prepare parcels and packages for dispatch or mailing.
Inventory Management & Documentation
- Record quantities of materials and parts received and distributed.
- Weigh and count parts and materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Label and mark parts and materials with the required identifying information.
- Use computer systems to enter and update inventory and parts movement records.
- Confirm inventory movements and ensure records are accurately updated.
Warehouse Operations
- Operate a forklift to safely transport parts within the warehouse, where authorized.
- Maintain proper organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and assigned work area.
- Handle automotive parts, equipment, and company assets carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Follow all warehouse, inventory control, health and safety procedures and company SOPs.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Procurement & Stores Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable warehouse, stores, automotive parts, logistics, or inventory environment.
- Diploma in Material Management or a related field is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Technical & Operational Skills
- Demonstrate good understanding of warehouse and stores operations.
- Possess knowledge of parts receiving, storage, picking, packing, and distribution.
- Read and understand parts orders, requisitions, and shipping documents.
- Apply good counting, weighing, labeling, and inventory handling skills.
- Understand inventory movement and stock control procedures.
- Forklift operating experience is an advantage, with appropriate authorization or certification where required.
Computer Skills
- Demonstrate computer literacy with the ability to enter and maintain inventory and warehouse records.
Languages
- Demonstrate fluency in English; Arabic is preferred.
