Role Purpose

To maintain and enhance property aesthetics through professional painting and surface preparation work, ensuring all finishes meet brand colour scheme specifications and hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Painting & Finishing

• Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, and putty to property walls, ceilings, and furniture.
• Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces such as bare wood or metal for finish coats.
• Effectively use brushes, spray guns, or rollers to achieve quality finishes.
• Maintain property colour scheme specifications.

Surface Preparation

• Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
• Work on gypsum board, including cutting and new installation.

Site Management & Safety

• Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
• Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures to avoid injury.
• Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
• Report work-related accidents or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
• Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with the vendor to modify the colours of paint, stain, or varnish.
• Perform any other job or duties assigned by management as and when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience as a painter.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in the UAE in the hospitality industry.

Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on approach with a can-do work style.
• Ability to find solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned.
• Personal integrity.
