Role Overview
Oracle Programmer position with VAM Systems in Bahrain. VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore and India.
Role Purpose
Develop, enhance, test and document applications according to Information Systems Directorate and Business requirements, while maintaining high levels of application security and adhering to coding and testing standards.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Maintenance
- Read and understand Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), flow diagrams and Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams to develop, maintain, enhance and test business applications.
- Follow coding and testing standards and procedures when developing and maintaining applications.
- Maintain high levels of application security.
Documentation & Reporting
- Produce user training documents.
- Produce system documentation.
- Produce technical reports.
Process Improvement
- Recommend procedure modifications or improvements.
General Duties
- Perform other duties and related tasks as may be required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum four years programming experience.
- Minimum three years experience with Oracle 10g, Forms 9i and Reports 9i.
- Experience with JDeveloper and Application Development Framework (ADF).
- Experience with Java, JSP, J2EE, Hibernate, JSF, AJAX, SQL, Spring, SOAP, XML, JDBC and SVN.
- Experience with Tomcat Application Server and WebSphere Application Server.
- Experience with Eclipse and Rational Application Developer (RAD).
- Preferable experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) techniques using UML.
- Preferable experience in Oracle Designer 2000.

Additional Information

- Selected candidates will join VAM Systems in Bahrain and be deputed to one of the leading Government Organizations in Bahrain.
