Role Overview

Oracle Functional Consultant for Bahrain at VAM Systems. The position is based in Bahrain and involves hands-on support, implementation, and training for Oracle E-Business Suite applications.

Role Purpose

Provide functional expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 to support, implement, and upgrade Procurement modules in Government Organizations. Deliver training, documentation, and problem resolution to ensure successful system deployment and ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Deployment

• Prepare and manage Oracle 12.1.3 Implementation Plans.
• Implement and rollout Purchasing, iProcurement, and Inventory modules in Government and its organizations.
• Prepare and document business scenarios for upgrade and patches.
• Prepare Unit testing and Integration Reports for major upgrades.

Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide hands-on support for Purchasing, iProcurement, Inventory, General Ledger and Payables modules already implemented using Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3.
• Assist staff for troubleshooting or debugging.
• Resolve problems and issues in a timely manner.
• Open and manage Service Requests (SR) with Oracle.
• Conduct meetings with End User Management and staff to resolve issues.
• Liaise with Technical staff on database, Unix (preferably AIX) or other issues.

Training & Documentation

• Conduct training for Purchasing, iProcurement, Inventory, General Ledger and Payables modules.
• Prepare training and User Manuals for staff and end users.
• Prepare necessary documentation and hand over knowledge to ministry staff.

Design & Enhancement

• Prepare and design solutions for areas not covered by Oracle modules, if required.
• Produce functional requirements for reports, interfaces, conversions and enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree minimum.
• Functional experience in implementing, upgrading and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite applications in Release 12.1.3 for more than 7 years.
• At least one full lifecycle implementation experience in Release 12.1.3 Procurement modules.
• Functional experience in Upgrades and Testing in Release 12.1.3.
• Comfortable knowledge in Inventory, General Ledger and Payables is an added advantage.
• Experience in Change Management, Incident Management and Release Management is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Oracle E-Business Suite Applications Release 12.1.3 in Procurement modules (Inventory, Purchasing, iProcurement, Sourcing, iSupplier, Supplier Lifecycle Management, Services Procurement and Procurement Contracts).
• Knowledge in SQL, PL/SQL and Discoverer is an added advantage.
• Capable to troubleshoot and provide quality problem resolution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

• Joining timeframe: Immediate (2 weeks, maximum 4 weeks).
• Selected candidates shall join VAM Systems Bahrain and shall be deputed to one leading Organization in Bahrain.
• Willing to work after working hours (normal timing Sunday to Thursday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) if required.
