Role Overview
Operator at Napco National. This role is responsible for monitoring asset performance, implementing continuous improvement methodologies, and ensuring quality control across manufacturing operations.
Role Purpose
Monitor asset status and condition in real time to optimize maintenance resource allocation, minimize downtime and cost, and maintain operational efficiency while supporting rapid response to customer needs and market changes.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Monitoring & Maintenance
- Observe asset state and determine status based on indicators and real-time condition data.
- Prioritize and optimize Napco's maintenance resources to minimize cost and asset downtime while maintaining asset efficiency.
Continuous Improvement
- Implement Lean Manufacturing Principles including Just In Time (JIT), Six Sigma, Ishikawa, 5S, SMED, and PDCA.
- Apply related continuous improvement tools to enhance operational performance.
- Develop, implement, and enhance processes, tools, and training to enable rapid response to customer needs and market changes.
- Control output, quality, and cost during process improvements.
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Inspect and test tools, spare parts, raw materials, work in progress, and finished products.
- Use simple to complex lab equipment for quality verification.
- Measure performance against standard limits and engineering/procedural standards.
- Uncover and address deviations from established standards.
Planning & Organization
- Organize and plan work and project activities to efficiently accomplish tasks.
- Meet short-term and long-term objectives.
