Role Overview

Operator, Heavy Vehicle at ADNOC. Load petroleum products in heavy duty road tankers from ADNOC Distribution Terminal and drive to various customers, filling stations, and depot locations for delivery.

Role Purpose

To load petroleum products into heavy duty road tankers at ADNOC Distribution Terminal, drive them to designated customer sites, filling stations, and depots according to dispatch schedules, and ensure safe delivery. To maintain vehicle operating condition, comply with all safety precautions and standards, and attend loading and offloading at designated facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Loading & Dispatch

• Receive Filling Advise Notice (FAN) from Distribution Supervisors and drive vehicles to designated loading bays.
• Load products according to FAN details and laid-down procedures.
• Ensure loading arms are properly handled and parked after completion of loading.
• Collect Product Delivery Note/Product Transfer Notes from Depot gate after loading is finished.
• Handover Product Delivery Note/Product Transfer Notes to customers or filling stations representatives for their signature.
• Return completed notes to Dispatch Assistant or Dispatch Supervisors after product delivery.

Vehicle Operation & Maintenance

• Inspect vehicles before loading to verify routine maintenance checks have been carried out by workshop personnel.
• Inform Distribution Supervisor of any vehicle defects.
• Check availability of hoses and couplings in the vehicle.
• Ensure product compartment is empty before loading.
• Ensure fuel tanks are full before proceeding on trips.
• Seal vehicles properly under supervision of Supply Operators before delivery.
• Load petroleum products and drive to various customer or filling station locations according to dispatch schedules and work shifts.
• Maintain Safe Speed Limit while driving and follow UAE Traffic Rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles prior to usage to ensure suitable working condition for product delivery.
• Check oil, tires, lights, and cleanliness (particularly windshields) prior to leaving depot.
• Report abnormal noises, defects, or vibrations to supervisor.
• Ensure availability of valid vehicle registration card, road permits, and required security passes before leaving to assigned destination.
• Take vehicles to outsourced garages as directed for cleaning, servicing, and repair.
• Attend vehicles in event of accident or breakdown until arrival of Emergency Response Team, Civil Defence, and Workshop crew.

Customer & Site Management

• Connect and disconnect hoses to Road Tanker at customer, filling station, or depot sites.
• Ensure person in charge for offloading and receiving product is present and ready at customer site or filling station.
• Report to Supervisor about customer site condition, approach road, and storage facilities if difficulties are encountered, for re-inspection and necessary action.
• Provide outstanding customer service and strive to provide high level of service to all customers at all times to ensure customer loyalty.
• Engage in delivery of special products such as Jet A1, Multi products (in drums), and Biodiesel to VIP customers.

Emergency Response & Recovery

• Inform ADNOC Emergency Response system (800999) in event of accident or breakdown.
• Follow emergency response procedures during emergencies at the Depot.
• Engage in recovery operation of contaminated product at Service Stations and Customer sites under supervision of Distribution Supervisor or Dispatch Assistant.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices, and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Perform job safely in line with HSE procedures.
• Ensure full compliance to PPE and other safety regulations.
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations and adhere to Fasten seat belt, maintain speed limits, follow fatigue and distractions events in line with ADNOC Life Saving rules.
• Report all Incidents and Near Misses immediately to supervisor.
• Follow Company Emergency Procedures and participate in Emergency drills accordingly.
• Participate in safety talks and meetings.
• Participate in HSE campaigns, training courses, awareness sessions, and initiatives deployment to ensure meeting objectives.
• Maintain and keep work environment in clean and tidy condition including removal of wastes and spillages.
• Carry out regular and surprise rounds of critical areas of operation and facilities to ensure fire equipment are in workable conditions at all times.
• Stop and report unsafe precedents.
• Inspect, clean, and test fire-fighting apparatus, tools, and equipment, including hose and hose fittings, hydrants, ladders, and hand extinguishers.
• Ensure all firefighting equipment are in good condition and ready to be used when required.
• Respond to fire or accident alarms from plant control rooms.
• Determine approach to fire location, make necessary hose connections to fixed fire hydrants, and start firefighting using appropriate fighting tools according to fire source.
• Participate in emergency actions dictated by situation to ensure quick and immediate response to emergency.
• Monitor screens and alarm systems in firefighting control room and communicate emergencies as per ADNOC Distribution Procedure.

General

• Perform other similar or related duties when assigned by Distribution Team Leader or direct supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Primary School Education minimum.
• 3–5 years' experience driving heavy duty vehicles and transporting inflammable petroleum products.
• UAE Driver's License.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of English and Arabic languages (spoken and written).
• Familiarity with basics of customer service.
