Role Purpose
The Operations Manager - Warehouse leads end-to-end warehouse operations within a high-volume distribution center, optimizing warehouse and logistics routes to meet the unique demands of the region's high-growth, multinational environment while positioning Ingram Micro as the go-to partner for businesses across the Middle East and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Fulfillment
- Lead end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and order fulfillment activities.
- Ensure achievement of service and operational targets through WMS, ERP systems, and operational reporting.
Inventory & Performance Management
- Drive inventory accuracy and warehouse performance through effective stock management, cycle counting, and KPI monitoring.
- Maintain process compliance and support data-driven decisions through reporting platforms to improve visibility.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and associates, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Drive performance, engagement, and operational excellence across large, diverse operations teams through periods of growth and change.
Operational Optimization
- Optimize warehouse productivity through efficient labor planning, space utilization, and workflow improvement.
- Implement Lean-based operational excellence initiatives.
3PL & Compliance Management
- Manage 3PL relationships, inventory governance, and compliance within a regulated, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Approximately 8 years of experience leading warehouse and logistics operations, ideally in a multinational or regional distribution environment, or managing large-scale warehouse operations, distribution centers, or fulfillment environments.
- Proven track record leading large, diverse operations teams, including supervisors, team leaders, and frontline staff through periods of growth and change.
- Demonstrated success in inventory management, warehouse optimization, stock control, cycle counting, and workforce planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- MBA, CSCP, or equivalent professional certification is a strong advantage. Professional certifications in warehouse operations, Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement are advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control processes and warehouse performance reporting.
- Comfort working with data and reporting platforms to inform decisions.
- Proficiency with digital productivity tools.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
- Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
