Role Overview
On-site Project Translator at On, located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Full-time, project-based position reporting to the Project Manager.
Role Purpose
Provide comprehensive on-site interpretation and translation services in Chinese, English, and Arabic across all phases of a construction project, enabling seamless communication between the Chinese project team, Saudi clients, local authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Interpretation & Meetings
- Deliver accurate consecutive interpretation for project meetings, technical communications, and business negotiations.
- Provide interpretation during site inspections, official submissions, and client receptions.
- Ensure smooth and precise information delivery across all spoken communications.
Document Translation & Technical Content
- Conduct written translation and proofreading for engineering drawings and technical proposals.
- Translate contracts, official letters, and meeting minutes.
- Translate bidding documents and government notices.
- Maintain standardized document filing and organization.
Stakeholder Coordination & Support
- Assist with daily internal and external communication.
- Coordinate with local partners and government departments.
- Facilitate project submission, inspection, and approval procedures.
- Support the Chinese project team, Saudi clients, local authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Project Documentation Management
- Follow up on full-cycle project translation work.
- Organize and update translation records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Fluent in Chinese, English, and Arabic (trilingual requirement).
