Role Overview
Officer, HSE (Shipping) with ADNOC, a global energy maritime logistics leader based in Abu Dhabi. Support and advise the Business Unit on all aspects of Health and Safety. Establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, awareness and systems to ensure all Health and Safety responsibilities within ADNOC Logistics & Services are adhered to.

Role Purpose
Monitor, support and ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards, processes and systems across assigned Business Unit operations. Drive awareness, incident prevention and continuous improvement in HSE performance through monitoring, training, auditing and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor HSEQ event plans, including in-house HSE training, campaigns, awareness programs and workshops.
- Ensure effective performance monitoring and reporting of Business Unit HSE Work Plans against compliance requirements.
- Collect, analyze and submit monthly HSE performance statistics for assigned Business Unit including contractors.
- Monitor and update action tracking sheets for marine-associated inspections, accidents, site HSE inspections and observation cards received.
Site Activities & Inspections
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Site HSE Activities.
- Participate in Site HSE Activities including facilities inspections, site HSE inspections, site monitoring and HSE meetings.
- Report undesirable conditions at the site with recommendations for improvement in order to achieve HSE objectives.
Incident & Observation Management
- Issue work stoppage orders for unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
- Initiate incident notification for any accident.
- Analyze and close out HSE observation cards received.
Document Review & Standards Verification
- Review document submittals related to HSE such as Risk Assessments.
- Verify compliance to applicable ADNOC standards for assigned Business Unit.
Awareness & Training
- Ensure awareness sessions are carried out pertaining to HSE topics, HSE flash and Lessons Learned in assigned Business Unit.
- Contribute to HSE promotional activities such as participating in HSE campaigns and HSE award functions and other HSE activities.
Audit Support
- Assist in the internal and external audit related to Business Unit.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
- 6 years of HSE relevant experience, including at least 5 years in the Offshore industry
- Chief Officer's Certificate of Competency or 2nd Engineer marine certification
- National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH IGC) certification
