Odoo Administrator

Role Overview

Odoo Administrator at Middle East Mattress Factory Co., located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time role managing the end-to-end administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Odoo ERP system for a large-scale manufacturing operation.

Role Purpose

Manage, optimize, and scale the Odoo ERP infrastructure to align manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, and financial modules with business objectives while ensuring high availability, data integrity, and seamless system performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration

• Manage Odoo access rights, user roles, and security protocols.
• Ensure high availability and data integrity through system backups and monitoring.

Configuration & Customization

• Configure Odoo core modules including Manufacturing/MRP, Inventory, Purchase, Sales, Accounting, and HR to fit specific workflows of a large-scale manufacturing plant.

Module Development

• Develop, test, and deploy custom Odoo modules and applications using Python, XML, and JavaScript.

Integration & API Management

• Maintain and build integrations between Odoo and external systems, including e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, biometric attendance machines, and shipping providers.

Database Management

• Administer PostgreSQL databases, optimizing queries and managing indexing.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Act as the primary point of contact for technical support.
• Diagnose bugs and resolve system issues promptly to minimize operational downtime.

Data Migration

• Execute data migration strategies from legacy systems into Odoo during upgrades or module rollouts.

Training & Documentation

• Create comprehensive user manuals.
• Conduct technical training sessions for department heads and end-users.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience in Odoo ERP administration and development.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, and QWeb templates.
• Deep understanding of Odoo architecture, MVC design patterns, and Web Services (REST, XML-RPC).
• Hands-on experience with Linux server administration (Ubuntu/Debian) and hosting environments (Odoo.sh, AWS, or local servers).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a background in manufacturing workflows preferred.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Working knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
