Role Purpose

Support and monitor all data processing activities to ensure accurate, secure, and efficient operations, while maintaining reliable equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement in compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Support

• Effectively communicate any product or data processing issues at daily production briefings.
• Provide first line incident support for any personalization and infrastructure issues.
• Process customer test cycle (SAT/UAT) submissions ensuring SLAs are met.
• Administer change request notifications.
• Provide technical support and advice to other operational departments and teams.

Maintenance & Repair

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment faults.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to maintenance schedules.
• Use technical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic tools to perform maintenance activities accurately.
• Support machinery installation, commissioning, and upgrades.
• Respond effectively to emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime.

Reporting & Documentation

• Report all equipment issues, breakdowns, and recurring faults to the Maintenance Manager in a timely and clear manner.
• Record maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment condition accurately.

Problem Resolution

• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to resolve complex technical issues.
• Support root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Take care of your own safety and the safety of others as far as practicable.
• Be aware of and play an active role in the achievement of Thales HSE policy and objectives.
• Comply with local HSE laws and legislation.
• Use safety equipment (including PPE) as required and intended.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company policies.
• Lead by example and actively encourage departments to look at ways to conserve water and energy, minimize the generation of waste, and encourage recycling.
• Report immediately to your line manager and the HSE department if you believe your activities may affect your health and safety or that of others.

Qualifications & Experience

• Above 5 years of work experience.
• Proven experience or relevant qualifications in IT support, equipment maintenance, or a related technical role.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and SQL.
• Competence with Microsoft OS and office suite applications.
• Strong logical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills across maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and equipment.
• Commitment to accurate documentation.
