Role Overview
Network Operations Controller at Etihad Airways, Abu Dhabi. This role provides regulatory oversight and coordination for foreign aircraft operating approvals across the Etihad Airways fleet, ensuring compliance with applicable aviation authority requirements while supporting operational continuity through charter operations, ad-hoc aircraft projects, and new aircraft introductions.

Role Purpose
To provide regulatory oversight and coordination for foreign aircraft operating approvals across the Etihad Airways fleet, ensuring compliance with applicable aviation authority requirements while enabling charter operations, ad-hoc operational aircraft projects, and new aircraft introductions through timely project management, with no adverse impact on safety or scheduled operations.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Liaison & Compliance
- Ensure effective regulatory liaison with local and international regulatory authorities on all issues pertaining to FAOP, FAOC, DG, and LVO initial applications and renewals.
- Continuously review international regulator standards and requirements to ensure compliance.
Approvals & Permissions Management
- Review all required approvals for ACMI operations, working closely with lessors to provide required documentation for local and foreign regulator approvals.
- Maintain the permissions database at all times with correct data, ensuring all aircraft are approved and authorised to fly their destinations with full operational flexibility.
Charter & Special Operations
- Support the charter flying review process and coordinate contracted charter flying, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate all ad-hoc aircraft operational events such as flypasts and aircraft static displays.
New Aircraft & Program Coordination
- Coordinate the EIS program in parallel with the technical department plan for newly delivered aircraft, ensuring smooth delivery to the operational window.
- Support the Manager Operations Planning in readiness coordination of new station startups where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the airline industry.
- Project management experience is an advantage.
