MPM Accountant (Outsource)

Role Overview

MPM Accountant (Outsource) at ADIB, Abu Dhabi.

Role Purpose

The position is responsible for MPM accounting transactions in both operations and corporate MPM and reports preparation. The role involves adhering to monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting deadlines and accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, and year-end audit preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Close

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Obtain and maintain thorough understanding of the accounting and general ledger structure.
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Ensure timely reporting of all monthly accounting information to owners and senior management.
• Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Compliance & Controls

• Maintain compliance with IFRS.
• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents as per the agreed checklist.
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
• Maintain accounting controls by adopting defined accounting policies and procedures.
• Adhere to risk management policies and procedures.

Reconciliation & Analysis

• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Ensure transactions are completed within the agreed timelines and SOP.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with other departments for reporting information gathering.
• Support operation and advisory team in daily activities related to accounts.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.

Information Security

• Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business with an emphasis on Accounting.
• 5+ years of experience, preferably in construction, engineering consultancy, or real estate.

Skills & Competencies

• Good understanding of Accounting.
• PC proficient with strong experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• ORACLE knowledge and practice is preferable.
