Role Overview

Midlevel DevOps Engineer (9 months Contract) at Robusta. Octopus by RTG. On-premises infrastructure focus.

Role Purpose

Manage and maintain the company's on-premises IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across systems and networks. Provide hands-on infrastructure management, networking, and security support in complex on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

• Manage and maintain on-premises IT infrastructure including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Monitor system performance to ensure availability and reliability.
• Perform regular updates, patches, and system maintenance.

Network & Connectivity

• Design, implement, and manage network configurations including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity and performance issues.
• Monitor and optimize network traffic and performance.

Firewall & Security

• Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls.
• Manage port configurations and secure internal and external communication.
• Implement and maintain security protocols and best practices.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

System Administration

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.
• Perform backups and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and processes.

Collaboration & Support

• Collaborate with IT teams on ongoing projects and initiatives.
• Provide technical support to internal users and teams.
• Support planning and implementation of infrastructure upgrades.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience managing on-premises IT infrastructure.
• Strong experience with firewalls, network security, and port configurations.
• Hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
• Experience with server administration and virtualization technologies.
