Role Overview

Mechanical Supervisor - Shutdown / Turnaround at ABIS in the oil and gas sector. This role oversees and leads mechanical teams during planned shutdowns and turnaround activities, ensuring that all mechanical tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.

Role Purpose

Supervise and coordinate mechanical operations during shutdown and turnaround projects in high-pressure oil and gas environments, maintaining safety, quality, and schedule adherence while managing teams and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical work during shutdown and turnaround projects.
• Manage daily work schedules and allocate resources effectively.
• Coordinate with project team members and contractors to facilitate smooth operations.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for the team.
• Ensure familiarity with industrial safety regulations and quality standards.

Quality & Progress Management

• Monitor the progress of mechanical tasks and report on status and issues.
• Ensure quality control measures are implemented and maintained.

Problem Resolution

• Identify and resolve any operational problems promptly to avoid delays.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical supervision, particularly in shutdown and turnaround activities.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and safety standards.
