Role Purpose

Supervise, manage and support subcontractors to proceed with mechanical construction effectively in accordance with project specifications under safe conditions. Coordinate mechanical activities on site in line with approved drawings and work schedules based on priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise site activity as per drawing and work schedule based on priorities.
• Monitor and check daily activities.
• Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.
• Coordinate the activity between external and internal stakeholders, especially client.

Construction Management & Planning

• Prepare 3-weeks construction plan.
• Prepare construction M/S (Method Statement) based on specification and requirements.
• Ensure necessary construction drawings and materials in advance of construction implementation.
• Manage construction progress by checking daily, weekly and monthly work done quantities.
• Arrange materials and tools required on specific job.
• Deal and communicate with subcontractors prior for work schedule.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction report.
• Plan and coordinate all work related activities.

Quality & Inspection

• Supervise and ensure construction quality in accordance with project specification and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
• Review of drawing and P and IDs.
• Coordinate with inspector for any mechanical inspection.
• Review of Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Assess and review technical proposals for mechanical upgrades or new equipment and their process integration.
• Schedule for clearing MCWD punches.
• Punch schedule target date (for closing).

Safety & Compliance

• Supervise and ensure safe condition at construction site in cooperation with safety department.
• Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Competent working with auditors, regulatory bodies, external verifiers, and 3rd parties.

Performance & Documentation

• Monitor the performance, failures, and serviceability of all mechanical plant, associated mechanical control systems and equipment and report on the activities undertaken.
• Record B/P (Best Practice) and L/L (Lessons Learned).
• Prepare Preservation.

Equipment & Specialist Functions

• Assist if there's any equipment vendor and prepare for work front and manpower.

Qualifications & Experience

• Construction experience in an oil/gas/petrochemical or power plants as supervisor.
• Experience from Construction stage until Commissioning and Start-up.
• Experience of oil/gas/petrochemical or power plants equipment as supervisor.
• Engineering and Construction Company working experience in Middle East is preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge on construction management and engineering standards.
• Knowledge for assembling and disassembling of Rotating machine and trouble shooting work.
• Excellent communications and leadership qualities.
• Computer application ability (MS Office).
• Rotating equipment supervision.
• Stationary equipment supervision.
• Tank equipment supervision.
• Heavy Rigging.
• Heavy infrastructure.
• Package vendor items (skid type).
• Commissioning Mechanical (MRT, solo RunTest, Oil Flushing).
• Preparation and review of rigging and lifting plan.
