Role Overview

Mechanical Site Engineer at MIRA Construction, based in the UAE. The role involves overseeing mechanical works on construction sites from planning through execution, ensuring all systems are delivered according to project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

Role Purpose

Oversee mechanical works on construction sites, managing and supervising the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC and plumbing systems while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, local authority regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Coordination

• Manage and supervise mechanical works on construction sites.
• Coordinate the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, architects, and other engineering disciplines.

Technical Review & Compliance

• Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Review material submittals and ensure approved materials are used on site.
• Ensure all mechanical installations comply with local authority regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct inspections and resolve technical issues during construction.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with project schedules.
• Prepare progress reports and participate in project meetings.

Health, Safety & Quality

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards throughout project execution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction projects.
• Mandatory UAE construction experience.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC and plumbing systems is mandatory.
• Experience working on residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings and coordinating with consultants.
• Strong understanding of MEP coordination and site execution.
• Knowledge of local UAE construction standards and regulations.
