Role Purpose

To support mechanical technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, electrical infrastructure, and cable management on construction and industrial projects, ensuring work areas remain safe and organized and all tasks are completed to specification and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Maintenance Support

• Assist mechanical technicians in installation, maintenance, and repair work.
• Support fitting, welding, piping, and equipment alignment activities.
• Help with securing cable tray covers and maintaining organized systems for cable management.
• Assist in troubleshooting and identifying issues related to mechanical systems and tray installations.

Site & Materials Management

• Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris and hazardous materials.
• Handle and organize mechanical tools, materials, and equipment on-site.
• Load and unload materials and tools at construction sites as needed.

Basic Technical Tasks

• Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and bending conduit and trays.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure the proper use and care of personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety standards and guidelines.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and work closely with the team to complete tasks on time.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 1–2 years in a similar role, preferably in oil and gas construction projects.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and materials; familiarity with cable tray installation.
• High school or relevant technical training is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to follow instructions to ensure a safe work environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with electricians, supervisors, and other crew members.

• Must be able to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
• Will be required to work on high platforms or confined spaces, adhering strictly to safety standards.
• May be required to work overtime or extended shifts based on project deadlines.
