Role Overview
Mechanical Draftsman at MIRA Construction in Dubai.
Role Purpose
Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, 3D models, and BIM coordination drawings for MEP systems while ensuring accuracy, compliance with local regulations, and seamless coordination across project disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Drawings & Modeling
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and shop drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Develop 3D models and BIM coordination drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Review and update drawings based on project requirements and site conditions.
Coordination & Compliance
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure accuracy and coordination.
- Perform clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Ensure all drawings comply with local authority regulations and company standards.
Documentation
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing revisions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman in the UAE (preferred).
- Experience in MEP drafting and BIM coordination.
- Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Knowledge of Dubai authority regulations (DEWA, DM, etc.) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
