Role Overview

Mechanical BIM Modeler at Al Shirawi Group.

Role Purpose

Develop, update, and manage detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical services including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems while coordinating across disciplines to deliver accurate, clash-free, and fully coordinated models in compliance with project standards.

Key Responsibilities

Modeling & Development

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems using Revit or similar BIM software.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Prepare fabrication and installation drawings from BIM models.

Coordination & Clash Resolution

• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to ensure clash-free models.
• Perform clash detection and resolve issues using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Participate in coordination meetings and resolve design conflicts.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, BEP, and client requirements.
• Update models based on design revisions and site changes.

Quantity Management

• Support quantity take-offs and material extraction from BIM models.

Skills & Competencies

• Revit or similar BIM software.
• Navisworks or similar clash detection tools.
• Mechanical systems design interpretation.
• Interdisciplinary coordination.
