Mechanic

Role Overview

Mechanic at Nabors. This position performs mechanical discipline tasks including installation and maintenance of engines, hydraulic motors, pumps, compressors, and miscellaneous mechanical devices on drilling platform equipment.

Role Purpose

To maintain, repair, and install all mechanical platform equipment and systems, ensuring optimal functionality, safety, and uptime through preventative maintenance, equipment testing, and accurate data management.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Repair

• Install, repair, and test all mechanical equipment.
• Maintain and repair various types of mechanical devices.

Preventative Maintenance

• Ensure regular preventative maintenance activities are accomplished for all mechanical components of the rig.
• Conduct safety inspections of all major pieces of equipment.
• Make repairs, adjustments, and calibrations as required following inspections.

Parts Management

• Ensure an adequate number of spare parts are on hand at all times.
• Submit requisitions for parts as needed.

Rig Operations

• Participate in rig down and rig up activities.
• Ensure proper disconnect, transportation, and connection of mechanical equipment.

Data Management

• Upload maintenance and repair data into the Maintenance Management System (MMS).

Qualifications & Experience

• 4–7 years' experience as a Mechanic.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of mechanical devices.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to wear respiratory protective devices.
• Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Additional Information

• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
