Role Purpose
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel mechanical equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable operation and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, motors, generators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and other mechanical machinery.
- Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of mechanical components as required.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and mechanical breakdowns throughout the hotel.
Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential faults and prevent equipment failures.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel mechanical equipment and systems.
Tools & Documentation
- Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report major faults to the Engineering Supervisor.
Safety & Standards
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with hotel standards.
Team Support
- Support the Engineering team with other maintenance tasks when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical qualification or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Mechanic, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial property.
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, machinery, and basic HVAC equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out repairs effectively.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and workplace safety procedures.
Skills & Competencies
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Arabic language skills are an asset.
