Role Overview
Mechanic Foreman at NMDC Group. This role is based in the United Arab Emirates and involves managing a team of mechanics responsible for the repair and maintenance of earthmoving, lifting, and auxiliary equipment.
Role Purpose
Oversee workshop operations and lead a team of mechanics to ensure timely, effective repair and maintenance of heavy equipment. Your expertise will maintain operational efficiency and safety standards while collaborating with other departments for seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient and timely repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and lead a team of mechanics, providing guidance and support.
- Train and mentor junior mechanics, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance to your team.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with other departments for smooth equipment operations.
- Represent the department in meetings and provide technical expertise.
Professional Development
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a heavy equipment maintenance environment.
- In-depth knowledge of earthmoving, lifting, and auxiliary equipment maintenance.
- Valid UAE driving license.

- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for maintenance purposes.
