Role Overview

Role Purpose
Ensure all materials used on site meet project specifications through rigorous review of material submittals, coordination of testing programs, and monitoring of compliance with quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Material Submittal Review & Approval
- Review and approve all material submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Mix Design & Evaluation
- Evaluate and approve concrete and asphalt mix designs, ensuring suitability for project requirements and environmental conditions.
Monitoring & Oversight
- Monitor batching, production, and placement processes to ensure consistency with approved mix designs.
- Oversee material testing programs including field and laboratory testing.
Coordination & Issue Resolution
- Coordinate with contractors and laboratories to resolve material-related issues.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure QA/QC compliance for all materials used across the project.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Geological Engineering.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in materials engineering.
- Infrastructure project experience.
- Asphalt and concrete mix design experience.
- QA/QC experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrate expertise in material engineering for infrastructure projects.
- Review and approve concrete and asphalt mix designs.
- Conduct laboratory and field testing to ASTM and AASHTO standards.
- Apply QA/QC procedures across all materials.
- Exhibit detail-oriented and analytical approach to technical work.
