Master Technician - Ferrari

Role Overview

Master Technician - Ferrari at Al Tayer Group, Dubai, UAE. The role carries out effective and efficient repair and maintenance of customer vehicles following approved Ferrari manufacturer repair techniques.

Role Purpose

Perform high-quality repair and maintenance on customer vehicles in strict compliance with Ferrari manufacturer repair techniques, ensuring accurate diagnostics, timely completion, and customer satisfaction while maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Repair and Maintenance

• Collect job orders and gather necessary materials, tools, and equipment to carry out repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles in accordance with manufacturer's repair techniques.
• Ensure accurate fault diagnosis and effective utilization of time allocated for repairs.
• Maintain efficiency and productivity above 100%.
• Work extra hours when required to complete jobs and ensure customer satisfaction as per Team Leader's requirement.

Parts and Warranty Management

• Ensure all additional repairs are authorized and parts are booked to the repair order.
• Return removed parts to the parts department in the same carton for warranty repairs or parts exchange programs to facilitate audit processes and obtain necessary credit if applicable.
• Keep old parts inside the vehicle for retail jobs except batteries and parts which may cause stain on the interior trim or carpet.
• Return unused parts or store them properly as per company procedure.
• Dispose of used parts in an environmentally friendly manner.

Reporting and Communication

• Report to Team Leader any delays in repairs due to unavailability of parts or any other reason.
• Ensure proper clocking on/off in the system and complete write-ups in the repair order as per prescribed procedure.
• Analyze failures and coordinate with Technical Advisor or Team Leader to submit product concern reports.
• Coordinate with the principal's technical assistance center in case of technical assistance requirements.

Workplace Standards and Safety

• Service personal tools, keep lifts and work area clean, and comply with health and safety standards.
• Report any tool breakages or accidents to the Team Leader, Supervisor, or Tool Room immediately for replacement.

Training and Development

• Upgrade knowledge by regularly completing web-based courses and attending classroom trainings.
• Provide on-the-job training to junior technicians.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Automotive Engineering with 7 to 9 years of experience as a technician, OR
• Industrial Technical Institute (ITI) certification (2-year vocational course) in Auto Technician with 10 to 12 years of experience as a technician, OR
• Master Technician level certification from principal training, OR
• Championship win in regional skill competition run by the principal.
