Role Overview
Marketing Manager at Crowne Plaza Madinah, operated by IHG Hotels and Resorts. This role is open to Saudi nationals only and is based in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose
Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in providing guidance to the hotel sales and marketing team within the assigned area. Drive hotel performance by fully utilizing corporate resources, strategic business planning, and execution of marketing and sales plans and strategies to stimulate business demand and achieve ongoing enhancement in revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Driving Hotel Performance
- Work closely with Regional Managers, Executive Area Managers, General Managers and hotel Directors of Sales & Marketing to conduct business reviews and develop marketing and sales strategies and tactics which support revenue maximization, enhancement of brands and returns to owners, shareholders and franchisees for new and existing hotels.
- Review marketing and sales budgets and allocated expenditures to ensure most effective use of funds available to support business objectives.
- Assist hotels in fully utilizing available market intelligence for developing strategic plans and better understanding of the competition and business trends.
- Conduct periodical reviews on all hotels in the assigned area and identify hotels with shortfall in revenue against budget or downtrend in business.
- Work with hotels on developing strategies and plans addressing revenue issues and follow through on execution.
- Work closely with Head of Sales & Marketing Operations and Revenue Management team on driving hotel performance with emphasis on high CTP hotels and key cities.
- Ensure hotels are making full use of corporate resources and provided with full support from all disciplines.
- Drive Cluster Initiatives in key cities to leverage scale and resources, including sales, revenue management and cluster promotions.
- Ensure hotels are fully utilizing support from Regional Sales Team in pursuing business from key target segments and accounts.
- Assist hotels in driving PCR contribution and utilizing PCR database for promotions and awareness building.
- Provide support to hotels on growing system contribution by maximizing use of all booking channels.
- Work with New Hotels Opening Performance team in development of pre-opening sales and revenue planning of new hotels and ensure plans are well executed.
- Keep abreast of Sales & Marketing related best practices in the assigned area and take initiative to share with other Area Directors of Sales & Marketing and Directors of Sales & Marketing.
- Ensure synergy in use of hotel operating systems, technology and sales practices and sharing of best practices.
Brand Marketing
- Assist Directors on special projects and new brand initiatives which include brand promotional campaigns, customer events and customer insight surveys.
- Assist hotels in developing advertising and sales promotions and plans which support achievement of profitability objectives at hotel level within assigned area with established brand values.
- Work closely with brand team to offer support to hotels on execution and interpretation of positioning of different brands to ensure uniform brand experience in marketplace.
Talent Development
- Identify training needs of hotels in assigned area and coordinate training programs for region to improve technical skills and knowledge of sales & marketing teams.
- Identify high potential talents for development in assigned area.
- Ensure Personal Development Plans exist for identified individuals and plans are well executed.
- Work closely with other Area Directors of Sales & Marketing and Human Resources in identifying external candidates for ongoing development of region.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum three years of experience in four or five-star hotels or hospitality sector with sales focus.
- Preferred experience in Madinah or Makkah market.
- Arab nationality preferred (optional).
- Transferable visa preferred.
