Managing Director – Restructuring at FTI Consulting, based in Dubai or Riyadh.

Role Purpose
Lead financial restructuring advisory engagements for multinational corporations, law firms, banks and private equity firms. Manage client teams to deliver high-impact analysis on strategic, operational, financial and capital matters, while building business development relationships and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
Engagement Delivery
- Assist in structuring the engagement approach, scope, and deliverables.
- Manage the team to address the scope within the required timeframe and budget.
- Lead business and liquidity reviews by investigating historical and future financial performance.
- Prepare and test business plans and financial models.
- Undertake variance and bridge analysis to identify reasons for underperformance.
- Develop a broad understanding of the full suite of offerings, including contingency planning.
- Form initial views and opinions on analyses before sharing them with the case manager.
- Communicate findings through report writing and oral presentations.
- Build detailed three-statement financial models and demonstrate confidence in Excel modelling.
- Interrogate and perform due diligence on financial analysis.
- Speak with external stakeholders and clients to keep them apprised of progress, initial observations, and issues.
- Take responsibility for producing and delivering a substantial element of the client deliverable.
- Cover Senior Managing Director(s) in relevant situations.
Team Leadership and Development
- Coach and support junior team members.
- Seek opportunities to become a counsellor to junior team members.
- Prepare for and participate in training activities.
Business Development
- Contribute to broader departmental initiatives such as key accounts, pursuits, business development meetings, recruitment, charity events, and overall practice development.
- Prepare for and participate in formal pitches.
- Build and maintain personal relationship networks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive and relevant Restructuring experience in a Consulting firm.
- Educated to degree level in a numerate subject or equivalent.
- ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong financial modeling skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and networking skills.
- Ability to lead teams and multiple workstreams.
- Impeccable research, quantitative and analytical skills, especially in explaining market events.
- Strong knowledge of deal structuring and closing principals.
- Strong work ethic, detail orientation and passion for excellence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Proactive with desire to contribute to the ongoing success of the Corporate Finance segment.
- Ability to organise and track overlapping tasks and assignments with frequent priority changes.
- Ability to travel and work on cross-border situations.
