Role Overview
Manager - Projects at DP World. The role owns end-to-end delivery of minor works and small-to-medium projects (fit-out, MEP, and civil) from estimating and bid strategy through planning, execution, commissioning, and close-out.

Role Purpose
The Manager - Projects is accountable for project P&L, schedule, quality, HSE, and compliance while fulfilling client contractual obligations and adhering to organizational governance and standards. The role delivers profitable, on-time, and defect-free project outcomes through leadership of multidisciplinary teams and supply chain orchestration.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Business Development
- Actively participate in commercial activity from lead generation to bid estimations and budget elaboration.
- Identify, research, and target new business opportunities.
- Develop solid quality proposals that meet customer requirements and maximize chances of winning projects.
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships with existing customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Project Planning & Execution
- Manage project life cycle including project scope, goals, execution, and deliverables.
- Plan and manage execution, subcontractors, and logistics.
- Obtain permits and approvals (Trakhees, DM, landlords).
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and snag closure.
- Produce handover packs including as-builts, O&Ms, and warranties.
Procurement & Technical Management
- Manage procurement and technical submittal approvals.
- Orchestrate the supply chain including OEMs, vendors, and subcontractors to secure cost, schedule, and performance.
Financial Management
- Ensure budgets, cash flow, and margins of all projects and variations are adhered to.
- Achieve accurate invoicing and collection in prescribed time.
- Own project P&L accountability.
Team Leadership & Development
- Coach, mentor, provide feedback, and communicate expectations to project team members.
- Oversee and evaluate project team members.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Chair client progress meetings and change management.
- Manage scope and change control.
- Drive risk reporting and cash flow management.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all safety standards are adhered to and minimize accident risk.
- Comply with all U.A.E. laws and associated governing bodies.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Ensure quality is compliant to all international standards.
- Implement QC/ITPs and maintain site diaries.
- Capture lessons learned and update standards and estimates.
Risk Management
- Contribute to risk management of the department.
- Ensure correct assignment of resources (human and material) to projects and contracts.
