Role Overview

Manager - Project at AD Ports Group, responsible for delivering medium-scale construction projects in a maritime port environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (engineering, construction management, project management, or equivalent)
• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in a similar role
• Proven experience delivering construction projects in a maritime environment
• Senior project manager or programme management position experience
• Working experience in multi-disciplinary engineering environments
• Preferably worked in both construction and consultancy organisations

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent English language proficiency
• Arabic language skills (added advantage)
• Project management: planning, execution, and oversight from concept to implementation
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to identify and address complex challenges and opportunities using data-driven decisions
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels
• HSE culture promotion and awareness

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Manage all activities across ports medium-scale projects to enable successful delivery
• Liaise with ports medium-scale project owners and review assigned specifications, standards, and procedures to meet project requirements and achieve objectives

Risk & Issues Management

• Handle ports medium-scale project risks, resolve issues with relevant parties, and update mitigation plans to ensure project success

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure ports project compliance to group governance, external stakeholder, and cluster requirements
• Support management of interfaces and dependencies across ports medium-scale projects, clusters, and external parties

Reporting & Performance

• Prepare reports to management for all ports project delivery related matters
• Present performance improvement initiatives based on current activities, data analysis, and forecasting studies

Health, Safety & Environment

• Promote HSE culture and activities in construction activities across ports projects

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain relationships with other projects, suppliers, consultants, and contractors
• Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative culture between project teams, supply chain, and other stakeholders for the betterment of AD Ports Group

Continuous Improvement

• Support the development and continuous improvement of departmental working practices
• Identify and support improvement initiatives
