Manager - Planning

Role Overview

Manager - Planning at AECOM, Abu Dhabi. This is a senior role overseeing planning strategy and delivery across the project lifecycle for major infrastructure projects.

Role Purpose

Lead project scheduling and controls functions for major infrastructure projects, managing the development and execution of master project schedules while overseeing a planning team and ensuring schedule performance across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule Development & Management

• Lead the development and management of master project schedules.
• Oversee schedule risk analysis and contingency planning.
• Ensure planning best practices are applied consistently across the project.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Manage a team of planning engineers and coordinate scheduling activities.
• Lead schedule review meetings and workshops.
• Coordinate with client, contractor, and consultant teams on planning matters.

Performance & Reporting

• Provide schedule performance analysis and reporting to senior management.
• Support the preparation of delay claims and extension of time submissions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10 or more years of planning experience with leadership responsibility.
• Expert proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong knowledge of delay analysis and claims methodologies.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English required.
