Role Overview

Manager - OT Infrastructure, Hosting & Connectivity at Ma'aden. This role leads operational technology systems, controls functions, and governance across the organization's industrial operations.

Role Purpose

Lead Ma'aden's operational technology systems and controls function to ensure consistent standards, safe operation, and effective performance of industrial control systems across all sites. Act as the enterprise control systems authority, establishing reliable, standardized, and well-governed OT environments.

Key Responsibilities

OT Systems and Controls Governance

• Own the enterprise roadmap for OT systems and controls including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and control system integrations.
• Own OT systems and controls standards across the organization.
• Guide system selection, configuration standards, and upgrade strategies for control platforms.
• Support site teams in deploying and maintaining compliant control systems.
• Establish and maintain control system governance frameworks.

Safe and Reliable Operations

• Promote safe-by-design control system architectures and operating practices.
• Support performance monitoring, diagnostics, and continuous improvement of control systems.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for control system reliability issues.
• Design and deploy closed loop by default systems that fast-track autonomous operations beyond conventional advanced process control.

Integration and Interoperability

• Define control system integration standards with OT infrastructure, data platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Partner with OT Infrastructure, Storage, Networking & Connectivity teams to ensure controls are deployable and operable.
• Enable integration across MES and enterprise systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control, Automation, or Systems Engineering; postgraduate Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 12+ years' experience in industrial control systems or OT environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of PLC, DCS, and SCADA platforms.
• Experience governing control system standards across multiple sites.
• Background in mining, process, or asset-intensive industries preferred.
