Role Overview
Manager - Gaming Accounting at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
Company Overview
Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, set to open in 2027, located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.
Role Purpose
The Manager - Gaming Accounting will oversee daily accounting operations for the gaming division, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while leading and developing the gaming accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
Gaming Operations & Revenue Management
- Manage daily accounting operations for gaming, including revenue audit, cash management, and reconciliation of gaming and non-gaming revenues.
- Liaise with gaming operations, cage, and other departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure smooth workflow.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve profitability and cost control.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for gaming operations.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with all relevant gaming regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial data and sensitive information.
Audit & Documentation
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Implement and improve accounting systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and mentor gaming accounting employees, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes.
Strategic Initiatives
- Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by senior finance leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
- At least 2 years in a gaming, hospitality, or gaming environment.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and gaming regulations.
