Manager, Credit Governance & Control

Role Overview

Manager, Credit Governance & Control at ADIB in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position is for UAE Nationals only.

Role Purpose

Serve as an in-house Governance & Control function for the Credit team covering all Businesses and Geographies. Ensure Governance over underwriting processes and compliance with Credit policy and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Culture

• Support the Head of Credit Governance & Control in establishing a sound Credit culture and process in the bank.
• Provide appropriate input in formulation of Credit policies and Product programs.
• Conduct event-based reviews to assess process and policy compliance.

Monitoring & Escalation

• Establish and manage Credit monitoring Forum to escalate expiries and past dues.
• Support in establishing Early alert process by liaising with stakeholders.

Risk & Control Assessment

• Support in implementing and managing the RCSA.
• Identify areas for automation to increase efficiency and support cost rationalization.

Stakeholder Management & Projects

• Interact with stakeholders including product team, Credit, Risk and Operations team.
• Manage Credit related projects and initiatives.

Reporting

• Prepare MIS and presentations for management review.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 15–18 years of professional experience in Banking with deep knowledge of product, processes and services.
• UAE working experience of 5+ years is a must.
• Strong Control mindset.
• Proven track record in managing teams and achieving results.
• Good understanding of business, finance, economics and current affairs.

Skills & Competencies

• Thorough understanding of Credit life cycle, Banking operations, Policies, Regulations, Compliance and Risk management.
• Familiar with the Central Bank UAE regulatory regime.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Analytical Thinking and Business Oriented approach.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
