Role Purpose

Coordinate with buyers and support purchasing operations for MAF Retail while driving effective sourcing strategies, maintaining optimal stock levels, and ensuring selection of high-quality products that meet company objectives across store shelves, catalogues, and online channels.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Procurement

• Implement effective strategies for sourcing goods and maintaining desired stock levels.
• Research and suggest new suppliers with long-term cost savings or quality improvement potential.
• Manage the issuances of tenders and RFQs to the market in coordination with relevant business users within MAF Retail.
• Engage in sourcing the best quality products for competitive prices aligned with organizational objectives.
• Implement negotiation strategies to secure profitable deals.

Product Selection & Assortment

• Assist with selection and examination of products that get to store shelves, in catalogues, and online.
• Research and review new products to meet company goals.

Order & Inventory Management

• Prepare and review purchase details of orders and deliveries.
• Implement methods to reduce shortages and overstocking through analysis of data and preparation of control strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
• 5+ years in a similar position.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong business communication and presentation skills.
• Strong team player with excellent time management skills.
• Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel Suite.
