MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Role Overview

Maintenance Technician at Napco National. This role performs repair, preventive maintenance, and calibration tasks on production equipment according to established work instructions and machine manuals.

Role Purpose

Execute maintenance repair, preventive maintenance, and calibration activities to restore and sustain equipment in adequate working condition, ensuring production continuity and operational safety.

Key Responsibilities

Repair & Troubleshooting

• Receive repair request tasks from Maintenance Team Leader and carry out repair activities in accordance with set Work Instructions and Machine Manuals to restore machines to adequate working condition.
• Seek Lead Technician or Team Leader assistance in troubleshooting breakdowns as needed.
• Request spare parts using the Spare Parts Requisition Form and relay the request to Maintenance Team Leader for pre-approval to ensure adequate spare part consumption.

Preventive & Scheduled Maintenance

• Receive scheduled and preventive maintenance tasks from Maintenance Team Leader and carry out activities according to set checklists.
• Highlight any new findings for further scheduling.

Calibration

• Carry out in-house calibration tasks based on Maintenance Team Leader instructions and according to set Calibration Work Instructions.

Documentation & Handoff

• Upon repair completion, clean the working area according to Post Maintenance Cleaning Work Instructions to return the area clean and free from work residues.
• Write the finishing time, task description, any pending tasks, or newly discovered findings on the Repair Request Form to document records.
• Seek Production Team Leader feedback and approval on the Repair Request Form prior to submitting to Maintenance Team Leader to ensure production satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement

• Assume 5S duties according to the set 5S plan to enhance working conditions.

Safety & Compliance

• Become familiar with health and safety procedures and instructions for assigned functions.
• Follow NAPCO-IFP safety standards and comply with Saudi Labor rules and legislation.
• Contribute to occupational health and safety activities and attend safety meetings as required.
• Attend all company-offered training.
• Report any incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, or unsafe acts to direct supervisor, or to camp boss if related to accommodation.
• Immediately correct unsafe conditions if safe to do so and where possible.
• Ensure all safety precautions are in place before starting any work.
• Refuse to perform work when unsafe conditions exist.
• Use provided personal protective equipment.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and vehicles before use.
• Become familiar with the emergency response plan and location of first aid and firefighting equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Technical Institute degree preferred.
