MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Role Overview

Maintenance Technician at Napco National. The role is based on-site and involves repair, preventive maintenance, and calibration of industrial equipment.

Role Purpose

Execute repair and maintenance activities on production machinery to restore and maintain operational capability, following work instructions, machine manuals, and safety protocols while documenting all work and ensuring production team satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Repair & Troubleshooting

• Receive repair request tasks from Maintenance Team Leader and carry out repair activities in accordance with set Work Instructions and Machine Manuals to restore machines to adequate working condition.
• Seek Lead Technician or Team Leader assistance in troubleshooting breakdowns as needed.
• Request spare parts using the Spare Parts Requisition Form and relay the request to Maintenance Team Leader for pre-approval to ensure adequate spare part consumption.

Post-Repair Documentation & Handover

• Clean the working area according to Post Maintenance Cleaning Work Instructions upon repair completion to return the area clean and free from work residues.
• Write the Finishing Time, task description, any pending tasks, and newly discovered findings on the Repair Request Form upon repair completion to document records.
• Seek Production Team Leader feedback and approval on the Repair Request Form prior to submitting to Maintenance Team Leader to ensure production satisfaction with the performed task.

Preventive Maintenance & Calibration

• Receive Scheduled and Preventive Maintenance tasks from Maintenance Team Leader and carry out activities according to set checklists, highlighting any new findings for further scheduling.
• Carry out in-house calibration tasks based on Maintenance Team Leader instructions according to set Calibration Work Instructions.

Workplace Management

• Assume 5S duties according to the set 5S plan to enhance working conditions.

Safety & Compliance

• Become familiar with health and safety procedures and instructions for assigned functions.
• Follow NAPCO-IFP safety standards and comply with Saudi Labor rules and legislation.
• Contribute to occupational health and safety activities and attend safety meetings as required.
• Attend all training offered by the company.
• Report any incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, or unsafe acts to direct supervisor or camp boss where applicable.
• Immediately correct unsafe conditions if safe to do so and where possible.
• Ensure all safety precautions are in place before starting any work.
• Refuse to perform work when unsafe conditions exist.
• Use provided personal protective equipment safety equipment.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and vehicles before use.
• Be familiar with the emergency response plan and location of first aid and firefighting equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Maintenance Technician.
• Basic knowledge in gears, gearbox, and oils.
• Basic knowledge in air compressor, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Basic knowledge in mechanical tools.
• Familiar with basic electrical tools, equipment, and components.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring and electrical drawings.
• English knowledge with Excel or Word proficiency is an added advantage.
• Work experience in the industry is an added advantage.
