Role Overview
Maintenance Technician at Napco National. The role carries out specific maintenance repair, preventive and calibration tasks according to set Work Instructions and Machine Manuals.
Role Purpose
Execute repair, preventive maintenance, and calibration activities to restore and maintain machinery to adequate working condition, following established procedures and documentation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Repair & Troubleshooting
- Receive Repair Request tasks from Maintenance Team Leader and carry out repair activities in accordance with set Work Instructions and Machine Manuals to restore machines to adequate working condition.
- Seek Lead Technician or Team Leader assistance in troubleshooting breakdowns upon need.
Parts Management
- Request Spare Parts using the Spare Parts Requisition Form and relay the request to Maintenance Team Leader for pre-approval to ensure adequate spare part consumption.
Documentation & Handover
- Upon repair completion, clean the working area according to Post Maintenance Cleaning Work Instructions to return the area clean and free from work residues.
- Upon repair completion, write the Finishing Time, task description, any pending tasks or newly discovered findings on the Repair Request Form to document records.
- Upon repair completion, seek Production Team Leader feedback and approval on the Repair Request Form prior to submitting to Maintenance Team Leader to ensure Production satisfaction on the performed task.
Preventive Maintenance & Calibration
- Receive Scheduled and Preventive Maintenance tasks from Maintenance Team Leader and carry out activities according to set checklists, highlighting any new findings for further scheduling.
- Carry out in-house Calibration tasks based on Maintenance Team Leader instructions according to set Calibration Work Instructions.
Workplace Management
- Assume 5S duties according to the set 5S plan to enhance working condition.
Safety & Compliance
- Become familiar with health and safety procedures and instructions of work functions.
- Follow NAPCO-IFP safety standards and comply with Saudi Labor rules and legislation.
- Contribute in different Occupational Health and Safety activities and attend safety meetings as required.
- Attend all training offered by the company.
- Report any incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions or acts to direct supervisor, or to the camp boss if related to accommodation.
- Immediately correct unsafe conditions, if safe to do so and where possible.
- Ensure that all safety precautions are in place before starting any work.
- Refuse to perform work when unsafe conditions exist.
- Use provided Personal Protective Equipment safety equipment.
- Inspect tools, equipment and vehicles before use.
- Be familiar with the emergency response plan and location of first aid and firefighting equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Reading, Writing and Arithmetic skills required.
- Technical Institute degree preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Good physical condition.
- Ability to work under high stress environment.
- Ability to work alternating shifts.

- Internal: All Maintenance Team.
- External: All Production Sections, Spare Parts Store.
