Role Overview
Maintenance Technician at Napco National. This role involves repairing and maintaining production machinery and all related equipment under the direction and supervision of the Mechanical team leader.
Role Purpose
To restore failed assets to operational condition, minimize downtime and cost, and maintain asset efficiency by observing asset status, identifying and rectifying faults, and applying condition monitoring and root cause analysis to ensure long-term solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Condition & Monitoring
- Observe the state of assets and determine status based on indicators and real-time condition data.
- Use condition monitoring results to predict when maintenance should be performed.
- Schedule corrective maintenance based on condition assessment.
Fault Identification & Resolution
- Identify, isolate, and totally rectify faults to restore failed assets to operational condition.
- Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to ensure long-term solutions are implemented.
- Repair and maintain production machinery and all related equipment.
Quality & Process Improvement
- Systematically monitor and evaluate the entire manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are attained.
- Inspect and test tools, spare parts, raw materials, work in progress, and finished products using simple to complex lab equipment against performance and standard limits.
- Drive engineering and manufacturing process improvements.
- Uncover and address deviations against engineering and procedural standards.
Resource Optimization & Coordination
- Prioritize and optimize Napco's maintenance resources to minimize cost and asset downtime while maintaining asset efficiency.
- Coordinate repair activities with other sections and departments.
Compliance & Safety
- Apply local, regional, and international occupational health and safety policies, regulations, and standards and procedures set forth by Napco.
- Understand and interpret legal requirements, regulations, and internal procedures to protect humans, property, and prevent market losses.
Systems & Operations
- Operate Napco's Computerized Maintenance Management Software package and other enterprise software systems as applicable.
- Understand and effectively use standard equipment, office automation systems, and software.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the variety of machinery, spare parts, tools, and other items used in Napco's maintenance practices.
Communication
- Communicate and deliver information in a business context both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise, and comprehensive manner.
- Understand and effectively use national and foreign languages both spoken and written.
