Machine Operator (Stator & Rotor)

Role Overview

Machine Operator (Stator & Rotor) at NOV. This role is responsible for the manufacturing of Power Section (Stator & Rotor) by following procedures and standard operating procedures.

Role Purpose

Manufacture Stators and Rotors for use in oilfield directional drilling while maintaining quality control, safety compliance, and operational efficiency across all production stages.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Operations

• Manufacture Stators and Rotors for usage in oilfield directional drilling.
• Follow procedures related to stator and rotor manufacturing process.
• Operate machines as per requirement.
• Perform daily operator checklist of machines.
• Check the stator or rotor prior to starting any process and report if in doubt.
• Ensure the stator or rotor is processed to the next step only after complete review of task performed.
• Handle products, tubes and core at elevated temperatures by following the necessary safety procedures.
• Operate Boiler, Generator, Air compressors, and Forklift when needed or advised.

Quality Assurance & Process Control

• Verify quality control checks at each manufacturing process, prior to planning or transferring the job to the next process of manufacturing.
• Capture and measure necessary process parameters and record the readings.
• Ensure controlled use of elastomer and chemicals issued to shop floor.
• Review manufacturing procedures frequency to be fluent and aware of the critical parameters related to the process.

Equipment & Maintenance

• Operate overhead cranes in the movement of parts or products.
• Ensure the tools, gauges and equipment used in manufacturing are maintained properly.
• Assist and support in the repair work of any machine or areas in the facility.
• Assist maintenance technicians when critical machine breakdowns are being attended.

Documentation & Compliance

• Document and maintain checklist, paper routers, or any ERP system that are in place.
• Report any abnormalities or variations observed in the manufacturing process to the concerned parties.
• Ensure to comply with all NOV HSE procedures and policies and maintain relevant HSE logs.
• Observe HSE regulations, encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately or report them to the proper personnel.

Continuous Improvement & Safety

• Support and participate in the Organization's Continual Improvement program and any problem-solving initiatives.
• Follow the operating procedures (SOP) and perform the task based on the Job Hazard analysis performed.
• Follow housekeeping as per the 5S requirements.
• Suggest or raise observation on any improvements, risk, safety concerns and good practices.

Training & Development

• Provide training to any new hire or operators that are under the certification program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent with knowledge in basic math.
• Experience in safe use of power tools used in Manufacturing Industries.
• Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, basic electrical systems and mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of the proper use of measuring tools, gauges and tools.
• Understand routers, drawings and procedures.
• Ability to understand basic engineering drawings.

Skills & Competencies

• Able to communicate in English (both writing and orally).
• Ability to present and explain basic technical information to diverse audience.
• Ability to document, store and retrieve information as per basic QMS.
• Forklift License or Certification required when operating Forklift.
