MACHINE OPERATOR

Role Overview

Machine Operator at Napco National. The role is based on-site and involves operating cutting machinery, managing production workflows, and maintaining quality standards.

Role Purpose

To operate cutting machinery efficiently while ensuring product quality conforms to specifications, maintaining a clean and safe production line, and supporting the production team through accurate reporting and communication.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Machine Management

• Set the machine properly and perform size changes.
• Ensure proper handling of raw material received and returned from and to the Raw Material warehouse.
• Make sure all finished goods pallets, waste bins, waste trolleys and raw materials are in their dedicated places.

Quality & Compliance

• Facilitate the work of the Quality Inspector and ensure the conformity of product requirements with standard finished goods specifications.
• Comply with and follow safety and environmental instructions.
• Participate in toolbox talks given by the HSE officer.

Maintenance & Cleanliness

• Ensure proper cleaning of the production line during the shift and month close.

Reporting & Communication

• Fill in the daily production report and submit it to the Production Team Leader.
• Verbally inform the Lead Operator and the Line Setter of any problems that occur on the machine.

Health, Safety & Environmental Management

• Participate in consultation and collaboration at all applicable levels and functions, including the development, planning, implementation, performance evaluation and actions for improvement of the Occupational Health & Safety management system.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Flexible Packaging and Cutting Technology.
• Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in the Cutting field.

Skills & Competencies

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Cutting process.
• Strong understanding of the printing process.
• Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in challenging conditions.

Additional Information

• Must maintain good health and be capable of working under physically demanding conditions, including hot weather.
