Location Instructor

Role Overview

Location Instructor at Al Ghurair. This role equips new drivers with location knowledge and skills required to be competent and confident at regulatory assessments and at work.

Role Purpose

Deliver comprehensive location training to new drivers, ensuring they pass map tests, demonstrate knowledge of important locations and routes, and are prepared for regulatory assessments and operational deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

• Ensure drivers are trained to pass the map test and display knowledge of important locations and routes.
• Maintain all relevant documentation for operational and audit purposes.

Operational

• Deliver classroom training sessions, debrief and assessments via Kabi Learn.
• Assist drivers in e-learning room during test preparation via Kabi Learn.
• Deliver location training independently using bus PA system.
• Manage all training documentation for sessions delivered and filing for internal documentation.
• Coordinate with trainees over the phone for RTA campaigns and arranging remedial sessions.
• Pick up and drop new drivers using training bus in the agreed location for ITC Test.
• Act as a messenger for RTA, Emirates Driving Institute coordination, ITC, FNDI, AJC, and FTC.
• Handle driver's queries at training academy reception when reception colleagues are on leave.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Degree.
• Minimum requirement: Heavy Duty Driving License.
• 5 years of driving experience in UAE.
• Taxi background.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of UAE and extensive location knowledge of the emirate employed in.
• English communication skills.
• Intermediate reading ability, basic writing ability, good speaking ability.
• Languages required: English, Hindi.
• Languages desired: Urdu.
