Role Overview

Light Duty Driver at Emirates Flight Catering, based in the United Arab Emirates. Reporting to the Unit Logistics Coordinator, the role exists to safely transport customer laundry to the Linen Craft business units from various customer locations in a safe, secure manner while meeting stringent delivery timeframes.

Role Purpose

Safely transport customer laundry to Linen Craft business units from various customer locations in a safe and secure manner while meeting stringent delivery timeframes.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Compliance & Safety

• Observe and comply with UAE traffic rules with respect to the vehicle fleet size.
• Report any health and safety hazards to immediate head.
• Assist in conducting drive tests on new vehicles.

Load & Route Management

• Ensure vehicles are loaded correctly to avoid potential accidents with shifting loads making the vehicle unbalanced.
• Find alternate routes and use prudent judgment in following logical sequences to reduce time, improve efficiency and fuel consumption.

Operations & Administration

• Maintain accurate daily trip sheets and provide necessary data to the Operations Assistant.
• Pick up and return processed items and linens to various customers as per schedule and ad hoc requests.

Vehicle Maintenance & Hygiene

• Maintain hygiene in the vehicle by removing dirt and soil on a regular basis depending on usage.
• Ensure a well-maintained fleet and minimize the likelihood of contamination to the linen.

Customer Relations

• Deal with customers both external and internal in a polite and professional manner.
• Ensure satisfied customers through reliable service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Certificate.
• UAE License for Light Duty vehicles (mandatory).
• Two years' experience driving on UAE roads.

• Good communication skills.
