Role Overview

Lifeguard position at Hilton, responsible for supervising swimmers and maintaining pool safety while delivering exceptional hospitality experiences to guests and members.

Role Purpose

Ensure the safety and well-being of all swimmers in the pool area while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and deliver outstanding guest service that creates memorable experiences throughout the pool and fitness facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Supervision

• Supervise and ensure the safety of all swimmers at all times.
• Ensure guests feel safe in the pool area.
• Ensure swimmers follow safe swimming practices and enforce adherence to pool rules and regulations.
• Follow emergency action plan and procedures when required.
• Assist guests in their needs and safety related to the pool and fitness area.
• Instruct and direct guests in correct usage of all facilities and equipment.

Guest Service & Communication

• Listen to and address guest requests with appropriate action and accurate information.
• Provide customer service to guests, including information about hotel services, activities, and directions to other areas of the hotel.
• Provide tours of the Spa, pool, and fitness facilities.
• Communicate guest complaints to Spa Management.
• Confirm guest registration prior to issuing hotel property access.

Health, Safety & Sanitation

• Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures including sanitization of all areas and equipment.
• Ensure all fixtures and equipment are in excellent working order and report any deficiencies.

Facility Maintenance & Cleaning

• Maintain cleanliness of the general pool and fitness area including emptying used pool towel bins, organizing pool and fitness furniture, collecting towels, and neatly arranging pool towel storage shelves.
• Perform deep cleaning when requested.

Compliance & Team Coordination

• Understand and abide by Waldorf Astoria Spa & Fitness policy and procedures.
• Attend all mandatory meetings as directed by Spa Manager.
• Assist the Fitness Supervisor, Instructors, and Wellness Coordinator in supporting the Fitness Centre, Pool, and Gym Area in safety, cleanliness, and guest experience.
